Shelley Duffy, Director of Simply Visas was asked to present at the Australian Forum of Business Leaders held at the Polish Consulate in Woollahra on the 18th of May 2017.
This group provides a medium for discussion and knowledge exchange between Polish and Australian business leaders growing their careers in Australia.
The focus of the night was "Your professional career success" and included presentations and a panel discussion about global professional mobility, business opportunities, how to present yourself to potential companies and the recent changes in immigration legislation.
We were delighted to be a part of the event and to be able to provide an overview of immigration history in the past 20 years as well as the recent changes and pathways for overseas skilled workers in Australia.

Navleen Bhatia - Global Mobility Relationship Manager at PWC, who provided a wonderful overview of the 5 biggest myths about global mobility, who and what employers are looking for and how to position yourself for global mobility success.
Agata Wypych - Human Resources & Operational Manager at Excelian, who provided information on personal branding, 1st impressions, CV tips and cultural differences.
The Q&A session held gave attendees the opportunity to liaise directly with the speakers to gain further insight specific to their personal situation which made for an interactive experience all round.
All guests then had to the opportunity to network and discuss career challenges with their peers ultimately helping to create a stronger Polish ex-pat community here in Australia.
